Frank E. Swan was born in Ord, Nebraska. Frank came to New Jersey in 1907 as a construction man
and worked up to management of the New York office of the Duro-Kewanee Water Supply Co. In
1916 he started the F. E. Swan Company. He also built a number of attractive house’s in the vicinity
of Swan Lake Park at the old Freehold traffic circle, and is considered responsible for the
development of that area.
